The Night That Was… English Night!

What an unforgettable evening at Afrikana Centre! Hosted by Afrikana CEO Cynthia Waggah Cynthia Afrikana the centre was buzzing with laughter, music, dancing, karaoke, quizzes, friendly competition, a variety of delicious foods and amazing community spirit from start to finish.

One of the funniest highlights of the night was the “Life in the UK Test” a challenge inspired by the citizenship test foreigners take. Safe to say, some locals may need a retake 😜

Guests enjoyed a delicious potluck with dishes proudly representing UK culture and beyond. From singing our hearts out at karaoke to dancing and testing our knowledge in the quizzes, the night was filled with fun, connection and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, the Afrikana team and The National Lottery Community Fund for making such a vibrant and inclusive community celebration possible.
