Celebrating, Empowering and Amplifying the Voices of Diaspora Women in Carlisle.

Bold and Blooming began as a series of online conversations where women shared their stories of resilience, identity and growth. The response was powerful, women felt seen, encouraged and connected through honest storytelling.

Now, Bold and Blooming is coming offline. On 7th March 2026, ahead of International Women’s Day, we will host “Woman to Woman” a community gathering for Diaspora women in Carlisle and across Cumbria at the Afrikana Centre (146–148 Botchergate
Carlisle, CA1 1SH)

This event will create a safe, uplifting space for connection, reflection and celebration.The day will include keynote storytelling, panel discussions on leadership and wellbeing, shared cultural experiences through food and music and space for meaningful networking and solidarity.

Our purpose is simple, to foster belonging, reduce isolation, amplify voices and build lasting community connections.

Together, let’s make International Women’s Day 2026 a defining moment of visibility, empowerment and collective strength.
